Yicklun Mo, MSW, LCSW | Associate Director

Yicklun was born and raised in Hong Kong. He has always embraced a passion for advancing social justice and health equity for disadvantaged and underserved populations. In 2006, Yicklun earned his master’s degree in social work at the University of Illinois at Chicago. Currently, Yicklun is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the state of Illinois.

For the past 10 years, with the focus on social determinants of health, strength-based practice, and culturally informed approach, Yicklun has worked in the immigrant community to help develop various home and community-based programs for low-income seniors and their family caregivers to enhance their health and wellness so they can live full and independent lives. Specifically, Yicklun has successfully built the capacity to implement various evidence-based wellness programs to address health disparity issues in the Chinese community, such as Diabetes Self-Management Program, Healthy IDEAS – a depression intervention for older adults, A Matter of Balance – a fall prevention program, and Enhance Fitness – a fitness program to help older adults improve their overall physical health. Yicklun is particularly interested in finding culturally relevant interventions to address ethnic minority’s behavioral health in terms of prevention, access to care, and treatment.

Serving as Associate Director, Yicklun oversees operational management and all behavioral health research and programming strategies at AHC.
